The small Alfa Laval plate h/exchanger has 19 plates
The larger Alfa Laval Plate H/exchanger has approx. 60 plates.
The re- boiler is 300 mm diameter x 1,900 mm long tubes, 25mm diameter tubes x 37 tubes
The main vessel is 1,500 mm diameter x 1,500 mm body plus 1,300 mm cone
The system is heated and cooled from external plant services, i.e.; the evaporation shell and tube exchanger requires a steam boiler and the condensation plate heat exchanger requires a water chilling plant, the main evaporation vessel runs under vacuum and the liquid gets recirculated through the main vessel and the evaporation exchanger. One plate exchanger is used for pre-heating the liquid feed indirectly with steam the other unit was used to condense the vapour which is connected to a small condensate receival vessel.
Various transfer pumps.
Skid mounted with all ancillary equipment, plate heat exchangers, shell and tube re-boiler, feed and vacuum pumps.
Previously used to concentrate ethanol. Ex Novogen a pharmaceutical company.
