    The Thermo Finnigan LTQ is a state-of-the-art, segmented linear ion trap mass spectrometer. Equipped with an electrospray ionization (ESI) source, the LTQ boasts improved capacity and trapping efficiency, higher scan speed and increased sensitivity. Sensitivity is approximately 100-times higher than other mass spectrometers, including the TSQ triple quadrupole. Advanced scanning modes include data dependent, zoom and ultra zoom.

    Featuring rapidly interchangeable electrospray ionization (ESI) and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) probes, the universal Thermo Scientific Ion Max ion source enhances mass spectrometer performance through efficient ion sampling and superior performance. Revolutionary in design, the Ion Max ion source allows interchangeability and commonality between different Thermo Scientific LC-MS systems. A wide range of flow rates can be accommodated, allowing for sample introduction via HPLC, flow injection, or direct infusion.

    The mass spectrometer and peripheral components are controlled through the Xcalibur software.

    Features:
    A hyperbolic segmented linear ion trap, the Thermo Finnigan LTQ boasts radial ion ejection and dual detectors.

    The Electrospray Ionization source allows for a loop injection of 2 L of a 125 fg/L solution to flow at a rate of 400L/min.

    Supports scanning the product ion spectrum from m/z 165 615 with both Electrospray Ionization and Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Ionization.
