The Dunbar Rotary Dry Popper is the finest and most efficient popcorn popping unit manufactured, as it has been since 1900. Dunbar is the "Original" rotary dry popcorn popper others try to copy.
The Dunbar rotary dry popping method means more, and larger popped kernels per popping without the use of expensive and unsavory oils, and is therefore the best unit available for caramel (or sugar base) and seasoned (or savory) popcorn products, as well as regular buttered corn. There are fewer "Old Maids" and double sifting assures your customers of fully popped, tender corn to the last kernel. Popcorn is a recognized health food, low in calories, high in fiber content. Dry popping allows you the greatest flexibility in types of products - plain (no oil or salt); salted; oiled; buttered; candied; etc. It is most economical because no expensive oil is needed for popping; no oil taste is present to be overcome by excessive use of seasoning, and a richer, seasoned taste is obtained with less seasoning. By using the Dunbar popping method, the entire kernel pops, leaving no hard corn tips at the center of the kernel. No oil, or seasoning, is wasted on unpopped kernels, burned on your machine, or coating your shop. These savings and greater volume of popped corn will pay for your Dunbar many times during its lifetime use.
The Dunbar popper is stainless steel, with the inner sides and top of popper lined with galvanized sheet metal for the most efficient heat application, reflection and retention.
This unit can accept 1.25 lbs. of popcorn kernels per batch and can output 17 lbs. or 68 gallons of popped popcorn per hour. The unit is 69" high, 37.75" deep and 27.75" wide. It weighs approximately 170 lbs.
